As I Rise Again

No strings attached,
Entranced by the puppeteer, and
Brought to the stage, from habitat
To kidnapped.
No freedom while bleeding, no demon, or eagle,
Eaten alive at the garden of Eden.
Four monsters entered, beasts of the coliseum.
They tried to break me down like a bullet in the sky,
Forced me to attack, a madman, a battle cry.
No heroes, no zeroes, no carrying roses,
as I rise again.

One brought to the ground with words,
Each and everyday feasted on by thunder birds.
The second gave in, fell, arose again, in a battle unable to win,
And with nothing left to hide, they no longer could fight again.
No heroes, no zeroes, no carrying roses,
as I rise again.

A third beast, a fourth, content to sough
A toll of life when blood touched the floor.
The knife cut words,
As above, so below.
In the moment, there was a reaping of souls,
As above, so below
Four who branded their claws and teeth,
Beneath the skin, their death was what they sowed.
As above, so below.
No heroes, no zeroes, no carrying roses,
as I rise again.

From below, and far above.
As I rise to fight again, everyday, every moment,
The reign brought to an end, the beasts in every bloodstain,
The final bead of red gone,
As I rise again.
No heroes, no zeroes, no carrying roses,
As I rise again.
