One Year at a Time

One full year of posting. It’s been work. It’s been fun. It’s been a struggle. It’s been glorious.
I feel as if I had a lot of low moments. But, I think, I’ve had just as many high moments producing stories I really enjoyed writing. I’m a little lost on where I’m going yet excited to write more.
The future is always uncertain. One thing is for sure, though, I’ll keep trucking along. I have plans, I have hopes, but it’s all long term. That’s how it works when it comes to crafting some stories. I attempt to produce these posts when I come to them. I enjoy just sitting down and pumping out the story as is without much planning. Things just kind of go, and I like it that way. The Promptly posts and my hopeful future novels are where I plan and pin every possible detail.
The blog has shown me that I can produce decent writing on a whim. It’s a struggle obviously, but it’s one I’m happy to fight through.
I love writing, and this past year–this first year with this blog–has shown me that I have no reason to ever stop.
And I won’t.
A toast to my future in writing. A toast to enjoying every second of it. And a toast to one day taking that big step towards a successful novel.
Maybe I’ll try for publishing, maybe I’ll just slap it all on here. I don’t really know, but I’m excited to find out what I’m going to do.

  1. Stumbled across your latest post and the doubts we all face as writers, but then I found this gem too, and there’s so much hope here, hope that you could remind yourself of while in the valleys. Wishing you all the best!
